New Delhi is well connected by road to all the major cities of northern India such as Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Buses are available from the interstate bus terminals in Delhi which are located at Sarai Kale Khan, Anand Vihar and Kashmere Gate. The Delhi Transport Corporation is the main medium for transport in Delhi. All the buses have now been converted into CNG to control the level of pollution. Delhi tourism has bus services available for tourists to travel to places of tourist attractions as well as the neighboring states of Delhi. Delhi tourism provides AC cars for tourists as well. There are private companies as well who provide deluxe bus service along with personal cabs for travel.
Within the Delhi city, the tourists can even hire cars on rental basis to enjoy their sightseeing or shopping expeditions. The city is crowded and traveling by bus within the city could get uncomfortable. There are several other options such as taxis, auto rickshaws and even bicycles and motorcycles for touring Delhi. Rickshaws are both auto and pedal powered which navigate the roads of Old Delhi and Chandni Chowk. A cycle rickshaw would be a unique experience of traveling within the city. However, they are not permitted to ply in the Connaught Place and New Delhi areas
