Delhi is the commercial hub of India and has several tourists coming here for sightseeing as well as shopping. Connaught Place is the major shopping center where one can find various handicraft goods and food outlets. The Chandni Chowk is a good place to shop if one is looking for gold or silver jewelry. Karol Bagh, Connaught Place and Chandni Chowk are the major shopping areas. Tourists have a wide choice of items to buy such as carpets, handicrafts, jewelry, precious stones, and leather, hand printed cottons, silks and silverware and also clothes, handbags, shoes etc . There are multiple emporiums located at Baba Kharak Singh Marg near Parliament Street which offers popular handicraft artifacts from various states in India. Khan Market is one of the upscale markets of New Delhi.

The Crafts Museum Shop attached to the museum in Pragati Maidan has several antiques and silver articles. In the south region of Delhi, the popular shopping centers are found in South Extension, Greater Kailash I and II, Hauz Khas Village and Green Park. The rural ambience of the Hauz Khas Village is one of the biggest attractions here. The Santushti Shopping Arcade, developed by the Air Force Wives Association is one of the popular shopping places where one can find furnishings, apparels and accessories in the various boutiques located opposite Ashoka Hotel. There is a restaurant and pastry shop nearby to visit after all the shopping.
