Karnataka is the headquarters for the airlines like Kingfisher Airlines and Air Deccan. Bangalore and Mangalore are the only two cities in Karnataka which have International airports whereas Belgaum, Hubli, Bellary and Hampi have domestic airports. Kingfisher Airlines and Air Deccan are the two major airlines which connect the state to some of the major cities of India.
Bangalore the capital city of Karnataka and the HAL Bangalore International Airport is the place where international flights are scheduled by Malaysian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, British Airways and Lufthansa. The airport also functions as domestic airport as it is connected with many destinations in the country. Mangalore, the chief port city of Karnataka also has an airport which is situated 20 kilometers north east in the city. The Mangalore International Airport functions as international and domestic airport. There are daily domestic flights to Goa, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kozhikode and Kochi. Domestic flights such as Indian Airlines , Kingfisher Airlines, Jet Airways, and Air Deccan have begun servicing the city. Air India operates it flights from Banglore to the countries like Muscat, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
