Health

Karnataka is usually considered as a tourist friendly destination. However, if anyone visits this state during the summer season, it is always beneficial to carry drinking water from authorized sources or to go in for only packaged drinking water. It is important to use sunglasses and sunscreen lotions in order to beat the sweltering sun and scorching heat. Due to the area being a plateau, it is very hot during the summer and so people who are traveling to this state during summer have to drink plaenty of water and keep themselves hydrated all the time.

Travelers should abstain from treating themselves to drinking water from roadside eateries and also eating road side food. Bottled mineral water is available easily for cheap price. Ensure that proper cleanliness and hygiene is observed if you wish to gorge at the roadside stalls.

Karnataka doesn’t require a person to have particular vaccinations, unless he’s entering the state within six days of visiting a yellow fever affected area. It is also advisable for travelers to carry with them important medicines for any emergency case. It is also suggested that travelers should be suitably insured and ensure that the insurance involves repatriation costs.
