Rajasthan is a state which experiences extreme climatic conditions and thus a trip should be planned so as to avoid the summers. The state is year round detination but the best time to go would be from October to March. The summers are hot and dry, and are not generally a good time to be sight seeing. Tourists who choose to brave the sun should wear loose fitting cotton clothes, apply sunscreen and wear shades. The dry weather can quickly dehydrate your body and thus you need to drink lots of water or fruit juice.
Winter is more bearable with cloudy days and chilly nights. Pack some light warm clothing for the evenings and early mornings. The months from October to March are warm and bright, and makes for a perfect climate for sightseeing and traveling.
