The travel itinerary for the Angami Naga Tour is mentioned below :
Day 01: Arriving at Guwahati
Visit Guwahati to start the Angami Naga Tour. Arrive at Guwahati and take transfer to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Guwahati-Kaziranga National Park
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then visit the Kamakhya Temple which is an eminent Hindu Pilgrimage center. The festival of Ambubashi is celebrated here and lots of pilgrims from different parts of India visit this place. Then drive to the world-famous Kaziranga National park. You can check into a Jungle resort on arriving at the park. Visit the Tea Estate located nearby in the afternoon. Stay overnight at the jungle resort.
Day 03: Kaziranga
In the early morning next day, explore the central area of the Kaziranga National Park. You can go for an Elephant Safari. While returning, try exploring the eastern range on a jeep safari. Come back and enjoy the lunch and then visit the Western area of Kaziranga National Park. Come back and stay overnight at the jungle resort.
Day 04: Kaziranga-Kohima-Touphema
Early morning next day, leave for Kohima after breakfast which is 225 kms from Kaziranga. It is a 5 hrs drive. On reaching Kohima, visit the Touphema Village Resort which is 41 kms from Kohima. This resort is run by Angami Naga village people. Enjoy the natural beauty of the place and also the cultural programs by the village folks. Stay back at the Touphema Tourist village.
Day 05: Touphema-Kohima-Dimori Cove
In the morning visit the World War II Cemetery which is situated in the heart of Kohima town. Large number of wars were fought here. Apart from this, visit State Museum situated at Bayani hill. You will come to know about the Naga Culture – Artifacts, handlooms, Tools and Implements, Naga lifestyle, Gems and Jewelry as well as Coins and Ancient weaponry. After this visit the Kepfiizha Dimori Cove and enjoy your lunch at the Guest House. This place is used as a base for Japfu Peak and Dzukou Valley. Later on in the afternoon visit the village of Jakhama and return to Kohima and stay overnight.
Day 06: Khonoma
Khonoma is an Angami tribal village and is also the home of the father of Naga Nationalist movement – Angami Phizo. The village is located on a hill and has its own natural beauty. The Anglo Naga War was also fought here. After visiting the are return to Kohima and stay overnight.
Day 07: Departure
The next morning, have your breakfast and drive to Dimapur for your return journey.
