Day 01: Delhi
On the first day of your Royal Rajasthan Tour, you will arrive at the International Airport in Delhi. It is the capital of India, and stands as symbol of democracy, unity and beauty. It is the second largest metropolitan city of India, the first being Mumbai. On arrival, you are received by the tour representatives who transfer you to the hotel. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
Post breakfast, you will leave for a sight seeing tour of Delhi. Places to visit in New and Old Delhi are Red Fort – Lal Qila, the majestic red sandstone structure built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Jama Masjid – the oldest grand mosque in New Delhi, India Gate – the war memorial, Parliament House – a colonial styled structure and the highest political office of India, Qutub Minar – the tallest brick minaret of the National Capital , Raj Ghat and Humayun’s Tomb. Raj Ghat is Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial site which is built in simple black marble.
Day 03: Agra (205 kilometers)
You will have an early breakfast in the morning in the hotel. Later, you will drive to the city of Agra. In the afternoon, you visit the Taj Mahal- the world famous love monument, which was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a symbol of love for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal features prominently in the Seven Wonders of the World. It is an impressive structure in white marble. After seeing the Taj you will go for a sight seeing tour of Agra.
Day 04: Jaipur (235 kilometers)
In the morning, you will eat your breakfast in the hotel and then leave for the city of Jaipur. Enroute you will visit Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned fairyland city that was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. It is famous for Jodha Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Salim Chisti’s Dargah and Buland Darwaza. You reach Jaipur late in the afternoon and take rest for the day.
Day 05: Jaipur
On the fifth day of the Royal Rajasthan Tour, you leave for Amer Fort on elephant back in the morning. The main attraction in this place is the hall which is studded with tiny mirrors. After visiting the Fort, you will go for a sight seeing tour of the renowned Pink City of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The city also being the capital of Rajasthan is known for its architectural marvels. The places of tourist attraction in Jaipur include the Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Rambagh Palace, Govind Deoji Mandir, Laxmi Narayan Temple and Kanak Valley. Hawa Mahal has numerous windows with Jaali work, so that the royal women could remain veiled and watch the street happenings. The City Palace is a beautiful blend of the Rajput and Mughal architectures and houses an excellent museum. Jantar Mantar is an observatory built by Maharaja Jaisingh in 1718.
Day 06 : Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur
You will eat your breakfast in the hotel and leave for Udaipur- the city of lakes via Ajmer, which is surrounded with green hills. On arrival, you check in the hotel and relax for the remaining part of the day.
Day 07 : Udaipur
Post breakfast, you leave for a sight seeing tour of Udaipur. The places of tourist interest in Udaipur include the City Palace, Lake Pichhola, Jag Niwas Lake Palace, Jagdish Temple, Laxmi Vilas Palace, Sahelion Ki Bari, Jag Mandir, Shiv Niwas Palace and Sajjan Garh Palace. The City Palace is the perfect amalgamation of Rajput and Mughal art. The Lake Palace of Jag Niwas is a historically important structure in sandstone with impressive architecture. Lake Pichhola is an enchanting lake surrounded on all sides by many temples, palaces, rolling hills and bathing ghats.
Day 08: Udaipur and Jodhpur
On the eighth day of your Rajasthan Royal Tour, India you leave for Jodhpur. En route you visit the renowned Jain Temples of Ranakpur. After your arrival in Jodhpur, you check in the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 09: Jodhpur
Post breakfast, you leave for a sight seeing tour of Jodhpur City. The Jodhpur city is also known as the Sun City in India. The famous monuments of Rajasthan in Jodhpur include the Jaswant Thada, which is an example of the superb architectural work in India. The structure is built out of intricately carved sheets of white marble. The Mehrangarh Fort, which was founded by Rao Jodha in 1459, too displays some beautiful art work.
Day 10: Jaisalmer (285 kilometers)
Post breakfast, you leave for Jaisalmer City. This city is of strategic importance due to its location on the camel trade routes. It is often addressed as the golden city. En route you will visit the Osian Temples. These religious sites comprise of exquisite 16 Jain and Brahamanical temples. After arrival in Jaisalmer you check in to your hotel. Remaining part of the day is free.
Day 11 : Jaisalmer
Post breakfast, you leave for an excursion of the city of Jaisalmer. The Jaisalmer fort is a major tourist attraction here. It was built by the Rawal Jaisal and stands on an 80 metre high Trikuta hill. It also has some beautifully carved Jain temples in and around it. The visitors can see the beautiful Manak Chowk and Havelis. In the evening, you drive to the sand dunes and also enjoy a camel ride.
Day 12 : Bikaner (335 kilometers)
On the twelfth day of your Royal Rajasthan Tour, you will drive to Bikaner. This city offers 500 year old rich cultural heritage. In the afternoon, you visit the Bikaner Fort of Junagarh that is encircled by a moat, the main gate being the Karan Pol and the gate on the side being the Sun Gate and other tourist attractions in the city.
Day 13: Mandawa (230 kilometers)
Post breakfast you drive to Mandawa, Rajasthan which is 90 kms away from the capital city of Jaipur. The fort in the city was founded in the 18th century. In the afternoon, you visit the Havelis in the city. The main haveli is the Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, which has beautiful paintings depicting Lord Indra : God of war and weather . The other famous haveli is the Jhunjhunwala Haveli, which has a gold leaf painted room. Another renowned haveli is the Murmuria Haveli that has paintings of cars, trains etc.
Day 14: Delhi (250 kilometers)
Today you will drive to Delhi post breakfast. After your arrival in Delhi, you check into the hotel. You have the rest of the day at your disposal.
Day 15: Delhi
On the concluding day of your Royal Tour of Rajasthan, you are transferred to the International Airport early in the morning where from you will board your respective flights.
