Tirupati is considered as one of the most holy places in India. The temple of Tirupati or Aadhi Varaha Kshetra as it was known in the beginning is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The city of Tirupati is famous for the temple of Lord Shi Venkateswara, Lord of the seven hills that is ideally nestled on the Tirumala hill. The temple is one among the ancient places of worship that dates back to 12th century. The best time to visit the place is in the month of September when they conduct the most popular annual festival of Brahmotsavam. This is a nine day festival that attracts pilgrims and tourists from all over the country. The other place to visit would be Tirupati Balaji Temple, which is on the seventh hill from the series of Tirupati hills. There is a large crowd of people visiting the place everyday. Sri Govindarajaswami Temple is another tourist attractions of Tirupati located in the heart of the city.
