Srinagar is the summer capital of the State of Jammu & Kashmir. It is located in the picturesque Kashmir Valley and is one of the most beautiful cities in India. With a natural splendor, the majestic ice capped mountains, lively rivers and placid lakes form the landscape of the state. Srinagar is famous for its lakes, gardens, row of houseboats, traditional handicrafts, Kashmiri clothes and dry fruits. The main attraction of Srinagar is the Dal Lake which is located on the eastern end of the city. One can enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains surrounding Srinagar from this lake.
Location
Srinagar is a hill station and is located in the western part of the state of Jammu & Kashmir. Srinagar does not have a railway station but the nearest railway station is Jammu Tawi which is 305 kms from Srinagar. Srinagar is well connected to major cities like Chandigarh (630km), Delhi (876), Jammu (298), Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg and Kargil.

This Mughal Garden consists of three gardens :Shalimar Garden, Nishat Garden and Chashmashahi Garden.
